VISUALIZING YOUR GOALS AS A PARENTAL. #starlingschool

If you have a clear picture of the type of parent you want to be, then you can start making it happen. Take your time and think about your goals as a parent. You can also write them out and visualize them, amidst all your other goals in this New Year. These goals could be long or short term. While trying to visualize these goals, ask yourself these questions:
1. What kind of child do I want to raise?

2. Will I raise a responsible adult?

3. What steps do I take to initialize the process?

4. What do I need to change in my family, to succeed and make positive impact?

You can also come up with other questions, depending on the type of parenting goal you intend setting. When you have all your goals clearly written out, try reading them to yourself daily and as you do that, they become embedded in your subconscious. With these plans in your subconscious, putting them to action would be easier. For example, if you intend raising a child whom you would love to be responsible, kind, honest and God fearing, you just don’t sit, wishing it happen. Do something!

If you’re specific about your goals as a parent, you’ll be specific about the steps you need to take to achieve them.

Parenting is not an easy job. We learn every day; sometimes even our children teach us how to be great parents. Listen to your children, know what their inner strength and abilities are and work with them to achieve these goals.
